Paying For Health: It’s Your Choice.
Diet and exercise today…dollars you may not have tomorrow.

With everyone talking about health care reform lately I thought I'd put an article I wrote a while ago back up. What I find interesting is that the focus seems to be providing health care to everyone. I think that's an admirable goal but what I find disturbing is that I don't hear much discussion about people taking responsiblity for their health. Go ahead and pound down those Big Macs with a quart of Pepsi and a pound of french fries every day because when your arteries clog and you have a heart attack, hey, no worries because we all have health care coverage now. There's no need to take personal responsibility for our health when big brother is hear to take care of all of us.
If there are no consequences for bad choices, there's no incentive to change. I think health care for all is a humane goal for our country. However I believe that cost should have some relationship to the effort people make to take care of themselves. In our current system the following article discusses some of the hard decisions an unhealthy lifestyle forces on some people. continue article »

"So many people are seeing my results and asking me what I'm doing. But when I refer them here, they say it's just too much work! What's up with that!?! Yet these are the same people who'll suffer for weeks on a super low- carb plan or (gasp!) the Cabbage Soup diet, only to lose a few pounds then gain it all back and then some. What do these people want! I feel like I've struck gold and I can't give any of it away!"
