Paying For Health: It’s Your Choice.
Diet and exercise today…dollars you may not have tomorrow.

With everyone talking about health care reform lately I thought I'd put an article I wrote a while ago back up. What I find interesting is that the focus seems to be providing health care to everyone. I think that's an admirable goal but what I find disturbing is that I don't hear much discussion about people taking responsiblity for their health. Go ahead and pound down those Big Macs with a quart of Pepsi and a pound of french fries every day because when your arteries clog and you have a heart attack, hey, no worries because we all have health care coverage now. There's no need to take personal responsibility for our health when big brother is hear to take care of all of us.
If there are no consequences for bad choices, there's no incentive to change. I think health care for all is a humane goal for our country. However I believe that cost should have some relationship to the effort people make to take care of themselves. In our current system the following article discusses some of the hard decisions an unhealthy lifestyle forces on some people. continue article »

" Well, I am still thrilled and surprised how well this program works... am in maintenance for 3 months already and keeping my weight loss off. Started at 156p.; FB ended at 140.5p. and after first few weeks of maintenance at 134.5-136p. Few days ago came back from trip to Europe, spending 9 days without strict PFA program but still using the basic principles (or at least I started that way)... and fully enjoing myself on this vacation...visiting family & friends, well - you can imagine that here and there I got completely "wrong" food and... *blushing* alcohol... and guess what? This morning I weighted myself at home and was 134 pounds
! could not believe it :0) ...did I mention I did not exercise whole time on my vacation? What I meant by praising this program is: A) it definitely did something incredible to my metabolism -> and it works much-much better now; B) it got me knowledge how to eat, specificaly sugar-fat-water info & also importance of how to balance diet & exercise; C) at last but not least - now I know that when I slip somewhere along my eating habits and it'd show on me - I have the tool to correct it
