Ric Rooney's Story...

17-week Transformation Birthday 2000, 2001 & 2002 Ric's Progress from 1999 through the Summer of 2004. The last picture you see was taken summer of 2004 at age 50.  I try to take a picture every year and, God willing, I will continue for the foreseeable future. I challenge myself every year now to see how long I can continue not just to hold back the tide of time, but also to actually improve. I'm no longer amazed that at the oldest point in my life, I'm also in the best shape. My hope is that the software program and aides we've developed will be able to help thousands of others, who'll never get the opportunity to meet my partner, to learn the art and science of physique transformation, in a simple, understandable and most importantly, fun manner. Your chronological age is something you have no control over. But it's simply a number. Your biological age is an entirely different matter. How you look, how you feel, how you live your life, is entirely up to you. You can be 47 and look fifteen years older, because of your lifestyle choices, or you can be 47 and easily look fifteen younger, if you choose. Earl Nightingale said in his famous audiotape 'The Strangest Secret' that the secret of life can be summed up in six words, 'We become what we think about.' I have had a love of health and fitness all my life. I simply love the lifestyle, the way I feel and the way I look. I remember joking with my family when I was a teenager that if I could figure out a way to train and keep myself in shape for a living, I'd be the happiest guy in the world. I've never really thought about it much until the last few years. As we all have experienced, my life has taken a number of twists and turns, mostly good, some bad. But my core beliefs and the things I love to do have always remained the same. And here I am today. I have the best job in the world. I teach fitness for a living. It is true.
