Peggy McCann's Story...
April 26, 2002 The older I get, the more I'm amazed at the transitions my life has had. Many things have happened in my 46 years, some bad, but mostly great things. But the most important thing I've learned is that what happens to us individually is a result of the choices we make in life. My choice to become healthier and more physically fit started in July of 2001. My doctor's office called me with the results of the blood work from my annual physical exam. My cholesterol was 238 and the doctor told me to monitor my diet for six months and then have my cholesterol tested again to see if medication would be prescribed. I was adamant against taking medication and decided to embark on a fitness routine to lose some weight and bring my cholesterol down. At that time I was 148 lbs. and even though no one would have said I was heavy, I knew I could look much better. I started exercising for an hour at home every morning and watching what I ate. I started to see results fairly quickly. In August, through one of those twists of fate, I became reacquainted with Ric Rooney after many years. In January, 2002 I started the Physique Transformation Mode. I weighed 126 at the start of my Conditioning Phase. I started out at 1656 calories per day and ended the Conditioning Phase at 2544 calories a day. I previously never would have believed that I could increase my calories that much and not gain weight. As a matter of fact, I lost 4 pounds in the Conditioning Phase. But much more important than losing the weight is the knowledge I gained about diet and nutrition. This tool is invaluable in teaching people how to take control of their lives and diets without starving themselves. In conjunction with starting the Physique Transformation Mode, I joined a gym as my home workouts were no longer challenging enough. Working out has become one of the most enjoyable and satisfying aspects of my day. I can't believe that at 46 years old I look and feel this great! No one ever believed how old I was, but now I feel that I have the physique to fool them as well. I finished the Fat Burning Phase at 115 lbs., one pound below my goal weight. I feel fantastic! It was such a great accomplishment and really so much easier than I thought it would be. Using the tool becomes a game you play against yourself, challenging yourself to do better and reach your goals. I can't wait to do a second rotation to challenge myself to greater results. Anyone who is committed to making a fitness and lifestyle change would do well to use the Personal Food Analyst. It is a commitment, but also a beneficial life altering tool. I wish Ric and Bart much success with this wonderful program. Sincerely, Peggy McCann ********************************** ![]() ![]() ![]() April 22, 2004 PostscriptIt's been exactly two years
since I completed my first PFA rotation. I did a second rotation
last year before the start of the summer and ended at 117 lbs and 17.9%
body fat, a lower percentage than after the first rotation. This
year I was trying to get ready for a competition, and although I didn't
reach that goal, I surpassed my first two rotations, ending at 115 lbs
and 16.9% body fat. Sincerely, Peggy McCann | |||||||||||
