Kera's Story...
November 9, 2002, Tustin California
Hello, my name is Kera and I will be 40 years old in December 2002.
I gave birth to my youngest daughter, Ali Lene, on April 6, 2001. Three weeks after her birth I had an emergency appendectomy. Needless to say, I was in no condition to start an exercise program.
I had never been on a “real” diet before. Previously, I would decide to lose 5 pounds or so, exercise and eat less to accomplish my goal. That was then, this was now. My nine year old son, Adam, would point to every diet aid on television and say “Mom, maybe you should try that.” Worse yet, Four-year-old Crysta would ask if I still had a baby in my tummy. OUCH! And out of the mouths of babes. Fortunately, my baby couldn’t talk, yet!
My Mother mentioned “Body for Life” to me, and I began searching for information on the web about it. I stumbled onto the PhysiqueTransformation.com sitoe, read the e-book, read the testimonials and looked at all those transformations. From then on I never looked back! I was hooked! If they could do it, I could, too! I set my goal to 125 lbs. I figured, why not? Might as well go for it, huh?
As soon as I got the hang of it, I was on a roll. The most difficult part was consuming all the food! Can you imagine?? Complaining about having to eat! I did four weeks of conditioning and was up to 2681 calories ! That’s not a typo, 2681 calories and here was the real shocker... I lost 3 pounds during conditioning! My metabolism was so stalled, that by eating more, my body started to let go of the fat. Amazing!
I never made it to the gym. Not even once. I was so busy caring for a baby, a toddler and my 9 year old, managing a business and running a household. My husband is a Fireman/Paramedic, and he stays at the fire station a minimum of 10 shifts (24 hours each) every month. Since finding a sitter is so difficult, I exercised at home. I worked out to videos by The Firm for resistance and cardio. I am very proud to say that not only did I meet my goal; I actually exceeded it by a pound. I went from 140 pounds, 22.5% body fat, to 124 pounds, and 16.1% body fat.
Never say never If you want it, you can achieve it. Believe in yourself! I have a new found confidence. 40 is just a number

With
no plan, my body stuck at 140 pounds, but I wanted to weigh 130.
I was doing cardio almost everyday and continued to eat the way that I
thought was right. I just couldn’t lose those last 10 pounds. The
fat had decided to stay!
