Jolene Tallent's Story...
Dear reader, As I went through this transformation I had a lot going on in my life. As far as my job, I am a hairdresser and I play pool 4 nights a week. I was used to eating on the run and drinking a few beers when I was playing pool. I did still workout but not to the capacity I should have. I had met Bart Hanks through my friend Beth and I once I saw her results from his diet, I wanted to achieve those same results. It did take me a while to get motivated and once I got started it was a challenge. All I did was cook and do dishes! I ate a lot of food and read every package to a tee. I checked my calories for two days and I had only eaten 1300 and half of those calories where fat. Wow! Gross huh? I guess you don't realize what you're eating until you put it on paper. I did quit drinking for almost 6 months. Now that for me was a biggie but after a month everyone just said, "I know, a pitcher of water no ice". My calories maxed out at 2700 calories. Now that is some heavy eating for me but believe it or not, I didn't gain any weight. I was to busy sweating from all the cooking! No, I'm kidding. To me it was all timing. If you ate at the right time you would not have to pile all those calories in before bed. Which I have done before. Now I did slip up a few times but got back on it the next day. This was actually my first attempt at a diet or real lifestyle change. I honestly believe if I didn't have Bart to report to I would have Then that's when I started to see results. I did have to stay more focused during this time. This was that it was all about. My calories ended at around 1200. I was getting used to it by then but was also frustrated cause I wanted to be done and it never goes as quick as you would like it. At the point that I stopped, I feel that I could have done better but I needed the break. I am not disappointed by any means. I accomplished what I wanted and learned a heck of a lot in the process. Now I am going to do it again and it will be a lot easier cause I know what to expect and how everything works. I am going to do a show for the first time and that is what is keeping me motivated the second time around. I have my workouts in order and if I don't workout, I feel like a slug. It's just normal now, like it was always there, and people actually miss you when your not it the gym. That's kinda cool. Well good luck, I hope this info helps you on your journey.
