Jessica Jannenga Story
My Story, I began the PFA with 10 weeks of Conditioning. I am 5'9" tall, and weighed around 148/9 pounds. Although, I was not considered overweight, I felt lousy about myself, and was not in the physical and cardiovascular shape I wanted to be in. I also wanted to have control over my eating and eat healthier. I just found out that I was not eating enough. I had a history of eating disorders and wanted to eat healthy and get out of that destcructive and damaging cycle. The PFA was also an experiment for me. After being off of birth control for several years, I could not drop the pounds. My metabolism had stalled and I could never get below 145. Well, through perserverance, and the help of my PTS, Jo Morales, I was able to get to a point where I am happy looking in the mirror, very cardiovascularly fit, and feel better about myself, and where I knew I could be. There were many times I was sick of looking at tuna, tuna steak, or chicken. I thought,let me just smell a piece of chocolate. And although I was not perfect in the plan, I stuck with it, and wanted to see it through. I had the drive. It has been a long journey, and a slow one. I was one of those "slow losers" that the board mentions, half a pound a week. Ugh. I also had a long plateau at the beginning of FB, so the frustration, anger, and disapointment was there. I have lost
over 10 pounds,however, and am currently at 16.5% Body Fat. I will
continue to use the PFA to monitor my eating, maintain my weight, and
make sure I am getting a nutritionally sound diet. I am greatful for
