From Flab to Fab: How I Lost the Baby Fat
By Bonnie GenoshePFA User
Dear PFAer,
Even
before I had two kids, I had always been of "average" weight and size.
I always had longed for the more refined look, the kind you see in
swimsuit magazines.
I
always did what all the media suggested-eat less and work out more.
That was the problem! I could never get past a certain weight or look,
no matter what I did. To top it off, I was nursing my second child who
was 5-months-old. How could I take off the "baby fat" and then some?
Then
a friend of mine introduced me to Precision Fitness and the Personal
Food Analyst where I met Bart Hanks. I was a little skeptical at
first because I had always heard you should never "diet" while nursing
a baby. Bart said I could get the look I wanted by eating more of the
right things, gradually adding cardiovascular exercise and I could
continue nursing. I thought, if I was eating the right things, and more
of it, what could possibly be wrong with that?
Bart
taught me that the problem was with what I ate and not necessarily how
much I ate. He explained how to change my eating habits without ever
telling me what to eat. We met once a week to monitor my diet and make
necessary changes. The changes were always gradual, which I believe was
key. The program was never "easy" but looking back, I'm glad I stuck
with it. If a diet is easy, the weight will easily come back. At some
point, we got to work for it.
Now that I have this concept and how to use it under my belt, I will never have issues with how I look again. I now know what to do if I ever want to take off any weight that I might put back on. Bart was genuine and down to earth. He took a real and personal interest in making sure I met my goals. Thanks for helping me change my life!
